As the summer heat begins to wane, try one of these outdoor spaces for entertaining or events.

1. The pool deck at the Artisan boutique hotel, which is within walking distance from the Strip, is lined with three cabanas that come with ceiling fans and 32-inch plasma-screen TVs. Ten daybeds are also available. Tucked away beneath a stairwell, the 10-seat Library is another spot for low-key events.

2. Caesars Palace debuted its new Garden of the Gods complex for the 2010 pool season. The property's iconic swimming and lounging area has been completely redesigned with eight swimming pools on thee tiers and luxe amenities. The new complex is available for bookings of various sizes, and the Juno and Venus gardens can seat 114 guests for events. In addition to the pools, there are 44 new private cabanas, each with a stocked refrigerator, flat-screen TV, DVD player, iPod docking station, wireless Internet access, ceiling fan, and furniture.

3. Three-time James Beard award-winning chef Todd English debuted his latest eatery, Todd English PUB, which stands for Public Urban Bar, off the park between Crystals and Aria. Patio dining is available. There's also an airy feel inside, with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. An elongated bar runs through most of the restaurant and is flanked with wooden booths and long party tables. The venue has a capacity of 206 and offers more than 50 international bottle, keg, and cask beers, including rare varieties.

4. For an Italian feel and hearty fare, the 9,400-square-foot eatery Brio at Town Square seats 200 on its terrace. It also seats 260 inside and has indoor party rooms for as many as 60. The restaurant's northern Italian cuisine includes wood-grilled and oven-roasted steaks, chops, and seafood.
