New York, August 27, 2001 - The BiZBash.com
Idea Center, the marketplace and showcase serving
the premium events and business entertaining community,
announced today that Jane Shapiro has been promoted
to senior vice president of operations from vice president.
In her new role she will continue to oversee the areas
of human resources, legal, finance and business strategy
and planning, and will oversee additional aspects of
the business including technology and manufacturing.
She will continue to report to BiZBash's president Richard
Aaron.
"Jane has been critical to the management of BiZBash
since its inception and I look forward to her continued
excellence in operating the business," said David Adler,
founder and CEO.
Shapiro has more than 11 years of business experience
- both as a management consultant and healthcare administrator.
Prior to joining BiZBash, Shapiro was with Knowledge
Strategies, a new media development firm. Her prior
experience includes three years with the North Shore-Long
Island Jewish Health System (North Shore) where she
established an Internet presence for the 13 hospital
health care network. Before joining North Shore, she
was a management consultant for six years - primarily
with ECG Management Consultants. Jane holds an M.B.A.
from Boston University and a bachelor of arts in economics
from Tufts University.
