New York, NY, March 1, 2004 –
BiZBash Media announces its third annual Event Style
Awards to be held Wednesday, March 3, at Crobar. The
ceremony will honor the best events and the companies
that produced elements of them held in New York in 2003,
as well as induct Preston Bailey into the Event Style
Hall of Fame. “A
panel of event planners and BiZBash editors spent hours
judging entries to choose the best events of the year
in all aspects of event planning from concept to catering
and decorating to decor,” says Chad Kaydo, editor
in chief of the BiZBash Event Style Reporter.
Awards
will be presented in the following categories: Best
Overall Event Concept, Best Overall Event Décor,
Best Overall Catering at an Event, Best Food Presentation,
Best Lighting Design, Best Invitation Design, Best Tabletop
Design, Best Gift Bag, Best Fresh Idea and Best Incentive
Trip or Meeting.
Former
winners include GQ Men of the Year Awards, an HBO’s
Sex and the City season premiere party and IBM’s
Race for Success.
BiZBash
Media will also induct Preston Bailey into the Event
Style Hall of Fame. For more then 23 years, Bailey has
been at the forefront of the event design industry creating
elegant and dramatic designs for his clients including
Oprah Winfrey, Liza Minnelli and Joan Rivers. A speaker
and author, Bailey has made appearances on The Oprah
Winfrey Show, Martha Stewart Living and Entertainment
Tonight. Preston’s first book, Design
for Entertaining (Bulfinch Press, November 2002),
serves as an inspirational sourcebook for events, weddings
and other celebrations.
