New York, New York - July 17, 2005 - BiZBash
Media announced today that the company has relaunched
its print publication for event professionals as a glossy
magazine. The New York City-focused, bimonthly, 20,000
controlled circulation magazine, which had been printed
in a newspaper format since March 2002, is now an oversize
glossy magazine with a completely new look.
“This issue is called ‘The Big Idea Book,’
and it focuses on creativity and fresh thinking, so
it was only fitting for us to freshen up our look and
feel,” says Chad Kaydo, BiZBash’s editor
in chief. “The event industry is a vibrant, growing
one, and event professionals are always coming up with
new ideas. So we’re always looking to give them
a publication that keeps up with them.”
The new August/September 84-page issue has a cover
story that highlights inspiring ideas for all kinds
of events. BiZBash also has behind-the-scenes stories
from a mix of events, including award shows, promotional
parties, benefits, premiere parties, and the television
industry’s Upfront Week presentations, as well
as tips for handling large crowds, booking speakers,
and putting together gift bags.
The issue’s lead story focuses on the rising number
of people in different career paths who have decided
they would rather work in special events. Although many
doctors, lawyers, and other professionals only talk
about how fun they think planning parties would be,
some have actually moved into the event-planning field.
In a related announcement, BiZBash said that it has
awarded its printing contract to RR Donnelley, the largest
magazine printer in the United States.
BiZBash is the authority for professionals who plan,
design, or influence the thousands of corporate and
nonprofit events held each year in New York City, Toronto,
and Florida.
Online, BiZBash.com, with more than 200,000 unique users
monthly, give users access to more than 6,000 local,
national, and international resources and an archive
