BizBash Launches DC Market To Continue National Expansion
Serves Professional Event and Meeting Planners |
|
New York, New York - June 12, 2007 - David
Adler, C.E.O. and founder of BizBash
Media, the comprehensive resource for professional
event and meeting planners and marketers, has announced
that the company continues with its national expansion
strategy by launching its sixth market with the debut
of its Washington, D.C.,web site today. The new site,
www.bizbash.com/washington/,
will allow professional and non-professional event and
meeting industry professionals to go behind the scenes
of important local events to see how others are handling
everything from decor, catering, and entertainment to
meeting content, speakers, and venue selection.
Washington is the largest association and non profit
planning market in the country based on its international
buying footprint according to BizBash’s research.
On a local level, Washington is the eighth-largest business
event and meeting market in the United States, with
over $900 million in spending.
BizBash is the most visited Web site in the world
for “professional” event planners producers
and suppliers, with an average of 300,000 unique visits
monthly. With the addition of Washington, D.C. BizBash
will now serve six major metropolitan markets in North
America, including New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Miami,
and Orlando, with Chicago launching in early 2008.
According to Adler, “BizBash is where planners
go to satisfy their hunger for ideas. Our products provide
planners with a backstage pass to see how others are
orchestrating events. They are able to peek over the
fence to see everything from strategy to decor and from
invitation concepts to after-event follow-up. Our stars
are not the celebrities who attended the event—we
focus on the corporate and association and nonprofit
planners, and the reasons an event was or was not successful.
“There are over 30,000 corporate and nonprofit
events held annually in Washington, and nearly 500 important
venues. BizBash also estimates that there are more than
15,000 full-time or part-time corporate or nonprofit
planners or marketers in this location. BizBash serves
professional and nonprofessional corporate and association
event and meeting planners to reach the largest audience
of decision-makers,” Adler continued.
