Toronto,
Ontario - September 19, 2007 - BizBash C.E.O.
and founder David Adler announced today that world-renowned
event planner Preston Bailey will deliver the keynote
presentation at the fifth annual BizBash Toronto
Event Style Show at the Direct Energy Centre on Feb.
20, 2008.
Known for his design work for Oprah Winfrey, Bailey
has created one-of-a-kind events for celebrity clients
including Donald Trump, Uma Thurman, Catherine Zeta-Jones
and Michael Douglas, Laurence Fishburne, and Bill Cosby.
Bailey--renowned for creating stunning landscapes for
weddings, galas, and royal events--has written three
best-selling books: Design for Entertaining, Fantasy
Weddings, and Inspirations, with a fourth
due to be published in early 2008. Whether it is a
tent, an airplane hangar, a museum gallery, or a hotel
ballroom, Bailey can take raw, bare space and transform
it into a breathtaking dreamland, elevating him to
the status of "event couturier."
Bailey's
appearance will be one of the centerpieces of the fifth
Toronto Event Style Show, the premiere trade show for
event planners, producers and organizers, on Wednesday,
Feb. 20, 2008, inside the Heritage Court at the Direct
Energy Centre in Exhibition Place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The show, sponsored by BizBash Media,
is the largest global resource for corporate event planners.
For event planners, this is the opportunity to meet
the city's leading suppliers to gather innovative ideas
for their next events. The show attracts event professionals
from across the GTA in all industries--corporate, fashion,
music, film, television, media, beauty, finance, nonprofit,
and retail. The 2007 show featured more than 150 booths,
over 1,200 planners, and live entertainment.
The trade floor will open at noon to qualified attendees
free of charge. The event is set to draw even more
exhibitors and play host to qualified meeting and event
planners from all over the country. An afternoon tea
will give attendees and exhibitors a chance to network
in an intimate setting. The trade afternoon will include
more education, unique entertainment, and the annual
battle of blooms, the "Iron Florist."
Adler said, "Our goal in putting on this event is to
create a major networking opportunity between corporate
event planners and leading expert suppliers within
the industry. As always, our objective is to expand
the possibilities available to planners and to inspire
them to produce unique and stylish events across the
GTA and Canada."
BizBash (www.bizbash.com) is
the most-visited Web site in the world for professional
event planners, producers and suppliers, with an average
of 300,000 unique visits monthly.
According to Adler, "BizBash is where
planners go to satisfy their hunger for ideas. Our
products provide planners with a backstage pass to
see how others are orchestrating events. They are able
to peek over the fence to see everything from strategy
to décor and from invitation concepts to after-event
follow-up. Our stars are not the celebrities who attended
the event. We focus on the corporate and association
and nonprofit planners and the reasons an event was
or was not successful."
