Looking for a teambuilding activity with an edible result? Chef Danielle Turner of Great Taste—A Personal Chef Service conducts cooking challenges similar to Iron Chef competitions, including Tort vs. Torte, a two-hour dessert challenge class with a tongue-in-cheek name that may appeal to law firms. For $85 per person, the dessert-making session starts off with a chef demo, includes hands-on preparation, and ends with a judging and tasting of items such as fruit and custard trifles. All classes are suitable for groups of 10 or more. The experiences may be done in the office or as part of an event, and Turner supplies portable cook tops, cutting boards, aprons, kitchen utensils, and ingredients. The host supplies the space and tables. Turner also conducts food-styling classes and can lead live cooking demonstrations at events.
