The West Loop Community Organization recently announced the chef demonstration schedule for the Whole Foods-sponsored Culinary Pavilion at the popular Taste of Randolph Street Festival, which is slated to attract more than 30,000 attendees from June 20 through June 22.
On June 21 from 2:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., the festival, which bills itself as a gourmet-focused event, will feature Jennifer Brooks of de cero, Worachai Thapthimkuna of Sushi Wabi, Tyler Williams of Veerasway, Stacey Marshall of Whole Foods Market, and Sotero Gallegos of La Sardine, while Steve Dolinsky (of ABC-7's "Hungry Hound" segment) will serve as master of ceremonies.
Then, on June 22 from 2:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., Matt Tobin of Marche, Jackie Shen of Red Light, Giovanni DeNigris of Macello, Abe Conlon of Whole Foods Market, and Tim Trimas of Aroma on Randolph will cook, with TV personality LeeAnn Trotter serving as master of ceremonies. The Culinary Pavilion will feature interactive chef demos on a raised stage with stadium-style seating.
Held in the Randolph Street Corridor between Peoria Street and Racine Avenue, the Taste of Randolph Street will also feature dishes from the participating chefs' restaurants, as well as Bar Louie, the Chicago Chocolate Company, La Luce, and Vivo, along with a wine garden sponsored by Five Rivers Wine.
Produced by the WLCO and Jam Productions, the festival also showcases local and national musical entertainment performing on the Southwest Airlines Main Stage, including Mike Doughty, Drive-By Truckers, Josh Ritter, and Matt Costa. The Taste of Randolph Street is presented by Miller Lite and Bank of America, and participating sponsors include smartwater, RedEye, WXRT, Korbel, and Verizon Wireless.
