Evanston Venue Combines Pizzeria With Raw Space
A 10,00-square-foot venue in Evanston, which opened in March, offers three side-by-side businesses that form a decidedly unusual combination: a pizzeria, a blank-canvas event space, and a private recording studio. With no overarching name to unite them, the businesses each have a separate title: Union Pizzeria, S.P.A.C.E., and the League of Creative Musicians.

The 65-seat Union Pizzeria, which is available for full buyouts, features a menu of Italian specialties such as lasagna Bolognese, gnocchi, and pizza. The restaurant's bar seats 20.

Adjacent to the pizzeria, the 3,000-square-foot S.P.A.C.E can host events ranging from business meetings to sit-down dinners and live performances for anywhere from 120 to 250 people. Onsite perks include portable staging, collapsible tables and chairs, and video and audio recording equipment.

The League of Creative Musicians is a membership club that combines a control room with a lounge area; the space, however, is not available for events.
