| BizBash Expo Set to Return to Merchandise Mart August 20 |
|
On August 20, the second annual BizBash Expo in Chicago will return to the Merchandise Mart, offering planners a day full of networking opportunities, educational seminars, and a trade show floor of exhibitors.
This year's event will also include a keynote address from Andy Sernovitz, founder of GasPedal L.L.C. and author of Word of Mouth Marketing: How Smart Companies Get People Talking. Titled "Love or Marketing? How Word of Mouth Will Save Your Brand," Sernovitz's talk will offer tips for creating guerilla-style buzz. BizBash editor in chief Chad Kaydo will present another keynote about the latest trends in events and how they're influencing style decisions; the session will also feature insights from Tom Kehoe of Kehoe Designs.
The 2009 show will also pay tribute to three new members of BizBash's Hall of Fame. Inductees are Martin Balogh, director of meetings and travel at the American Bar Association; Tina Carlson, president of Ivan Carlson & Associates; and Robert Neubert, director of Catering Sales at the Hilton Chicago.
