A New Source for (Inexpensive) Argentine Office Snacks

5411 Empanadas, a new company that specializes in Argentine treats, offers catering for meetings and events. Although traditional empanadas are deep-fried, 5411's pastries are baked, and come with fillings such as ham and cheese, spinach and cheese, sweet onion, or barbecued chicken. And for events, remember the portable snacks don't necessarily require plates or cutlery. For delivery throughout the city and suburbs, the company requires a minimum order of 50 empanadas, at $2 per pastry. (There's also a supplemental delivery fee.) Or opt for catering service, which costs $20 per guest and includes staffers who bring along two mobile ovens to bake fresh empanadas at the event.
