Fred's at Barneys Hosts Alfresco Wine Tastings for 30—and Parties for White House Staffers
Open since late April, Fred's at Barneys New York occupies the top floor of the Gold Coast department store. The 5,000-square-foot penthouse-style restaurant—which recently hosted a private 50th birthday celebration for White House social secretary Desiree Rogers—seats 120 in its main dining room; certain areas of the room can be sectioned off to host cocktail receptions for 100.

Tucked into a corner of the main dining room, a semiprivate space seats 24 and offers a drop-down projection screen and its own phone line. At the  back of the restaurant, a terrace provides seating for 22 and can host cocktail receptions or alfresco wine tastings for 30.
