OVERVIEW
Originally dedicated as Chicagos public library in 1897, this building was constructed in a Beaux-Arts, neo-Classical style. A 38-foot Tiffany stained-glass dome caps the ceiling of Preston Bradley Hall, which seats 360 or holds 700 for receptions. The G.A.R. Rotunda also features a Renaissance-style stained-glass dome and seats 250 or holds 550 for receptions. Other spaces include the 298-seat Claudia Cassidy Theater and various galleries that hold as many as 800 for receptions or seat as many as 450.
