OVERVIEW
The Whitney Museum of American Art, housed in a landmark of modern architecture designed by Marcel Breuer, is located in New York City’s Upper East Side historic district. Easily accessible on Madison Avenue, the museum offers a unique space, like no other in Manhattan. The Whitney provides a memorable backdrop for your event amongst the greatest masterpieces of 20th-century American art. Entertainment privileges are available to corporate partners of the museum at the $10,000 level.
The museum lobby, which accommodates 125 to 150 guests for a cocktail reception, leads down to the Robert J. Hurst Family Gallery and adjacent outdoor sculpture court. The gallery, which boasts dramatic two-story windows, can accommodate 300 to 500 guests for a reception and 170 guests for a seated dinner. The sculpture court allows for an additional 250 guests for a reception and 150 guests for a seated dinner. The Brendan Gill Trustee Room and Whitney Annex Conference Room are both equipped with comprehensive audiovisual capabilities and provide an ideal location for meetings, luncheons, and dinners for groups of 20 to 80.
