WASHINGTON, D.C. Single servings of milk and cookies awaited guests at the after-party for the U.S.O. gala at the Washington Hilton. The hotel catered both the gala and after-party for the November 2 event, which honors members of the military. The event drew nearly 1,100 guests, including Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Martin E. Dempsey, and raised more than $2 million to help the U.S.O. continue to support troops and their families.
