Life imitated art at the National Design Awards at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum. Awards co-chair Murray Moss (proprietor of the Moss design store in SoHo) created elegant centerpieces out of fruit, ceramic bowls, wine decanters and branches of leaves, giving the tables the look of a still-life painting (minus the dead rabbits and fowl that often populate such paintings). And in a nod to the museum's mission to promote design, the dinner tables were set with sleek Bellini chairs.
