COPE's Event Planning Seminar

January 30, 2002, 12:00 AM EST

Looking for some wintertime inspiration, or advice on the shifting special event industry? The Council of Protocol Executives (COPE), a group of experienced event and meeting planners, is holding Eventpower 2002, an all-day seminar on Friday, February 8, at the new Ritz-Carlton in Battery Park (you can check out the new hotel, too). Chef David Bouley (Bouley Bakery) and invitation guru Marc Friedland (of Creative Intelligence) are among the speakers, and presentation titles include “Security: Your Business Partner,” “DMC or DIY?” and “Does It Still Make Sense to Host Client Meetings Overseas?” COPE members pay $225 for the event; non-members pay $325. Contact COPE for more information.
