On Friday, event designer David Stark opened his latest retail collaboration, a concept store called Wood Shop housed inside Haus Interior, designer Nina Freudenberger’s NoLIta boutique.

Until February 27, the cozy Haus Interior space’s usual mix of home accessories will be taken over by the limited edition Wood Shop product line. “I [was] excited to invent a concept store and product line around a theme, just like I would for all of the intricate details of a fabulous party,” Stark said. Among the more than 74 gift and decor items, inspired by the materials and imagery found in a woodworker’s atelier, are quirky items like cakes, toasters, telephones, and boxes of chocolate all made from wood, along with over-size crocheted paintbrushes and paint cans. The collection also has linen napkins, canvas placemats, stacked SmartPly vases, and wooden place-card holders. All of the items are also for sale on the Haus Interior Web site.
