Former White House director of events Laura Schwartz recently gave the Event Leadership Institute a behind-the-scenes look at planning events in the White House. Schwartz discussed about how planning a state dinner is more than just an elegant sit-down meal and why she considers every event a business opportunity. A professional speaker and author of Eat, Drink & Succeed!, Schwartz shared her personal account of moving up the ranks from volunteer to director of events within the Clinton administration. A clip from the presentation is available below. You can watch the complete class here.
