LOS ANGELES Hospitality veteran Brent Bolthouse announced he'll open The Bungalow in July. The new venue in a freestanding bungalow at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows in Santa Monica will offer sweeping ocean views, gardens, rustic interior design, expansive decks, style-minded meeting spaces, and intimate patios. Cocktails and an exclusive menu will come from chef Ray Garcia’s Fig restaurant.
The Bungalow is a partnership between Bolthouse and the hotel’s owner MSD Capital. Design comes from Bolthouse and the agency Studio Collective, with a look meant to underscore a beachside experience and the charm attached to seaside cottages. Private gatherings and events including industry parties, fireside acoustic music sets, and others will kick off the venue this summer.
“After over a decade of searching the west side of Los Angeles, I found the perfect partners and location in the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows,” Bolthouse said in a release.
Bolthouse is also behind the annual Neon Carnival during Coachella. Previous L.A. venue openings include Trousdale, Hyde, Foxtail, and others.
