Eat, Drink, and Be Married
Wedding professionals gathered to network and discuss hot industry trends at a new St. Petersburg downtown venue.
Brides Florida magazine invited Tampa Bay's elite to mingle with the area's bridal industry leaders at one of St. Petersburg's newest venues, Nova 535. On April 24, betrothed couples, planners, and wedding vendors gathered at the trendy downtown location for a night of networking and to discuss the latest industry news.

As guests arrived, they were each given a laminated name tag featuring a bingo game board on the back, which was later used in a icebreaker to ease introductions among the more than 150 attendees. Guests were encouraged to fill in each vendor category with the contacts they made throughout the night and later return their badges for a chance to win a prize at the conclusion of the evening.

Guests enjoyed on an assortment of bites from a raw bar set up in one corner of the room and a selection of passed hors d'oeuvres, including a single shrimp served in a pool of cocktail sauce inside an elegant shot glass.

Since a wedding-themed event wouldn't be complete without cake, Chocolate Pi created a four-tiered, nontraditional, brown fondant cake with candy pink hearts. In addition, mini cakes surrounding the base allowed for easy sampling.
