Licensed tour guide Bob Gelber works for organizations such as Foods of New York and Big Apple Greeter and is a volunteer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and for Open House New York. Now his new company, Walkin’ NY, offers group excursions through Central Park, the Lower East Side, the meatpacking district, and upper Fifth Avenue, and can also customize treks around town. Walks highlight city lore and history, as well as significant architectural features. Tours typically range from $15 to $25 per person.
