CHICAGO H. Bloom, a company that offers flower delivery service, hosted a launch party for its Chicago studio on Thursday. The invite, which was hand-delivered to guests along with a single orchid, read, "We're turning the floral industry upside-down." The topsy-turvy theme influenced the menu of passed snacks and drinks from Truffleberry Market. Cheese tortellini with walnut-basil pesto sauce was presented in the form of a bouquet. Wild mushroom risotto bites seemed to sprout out of a blanket of marigold blossoms, and the signature cocktail—called "Le Fleur"— contained elderflower liqueur. For dessert, servers passed the company's "dropped ice cream cones." The treats combine cake balls with inverted cones and icing that looks like puddles of melted ice cream.
