INSPIRATION: Fashion and Architecture Meet at MOCA

This fall, head to the Museum of Contemporary Art to check out the connections between architecture and fashion at the museum’s “Skin & Bones: Parallel Practices in Fashion and Architecture” exhibit. The show will highlight the looks and concepts that the industries have in common—ideas of space, volume, and movement that are also critical to events. The exhibition focuses on the period from 1980 to the present and includes works from 40 architects and fashion designers from the United States, Europe, and Japan. Featured designers include Alexander McQueen, Narciso Rodriguez, Vivienne Westwood, and Yohji Yamamoto, and architecture firms include Diller Scofidio & Renfro, Gehry Partners, Zaha Hadid Architects, and Herzog & de Meuron. The exhibition will run from November 19 through March 5, 2007. Alesandra Dubin
