Overview

Founded in 1868, this zoo is one of the oldest in the country. The lion house, primate house, and reptile house hold 500, 400, and 300, respectively, while open spaces like the Farm in the Zoo and the Main Mall hold as many as 1,000. Café Brauer provides a ballroom space with attached north and south loggias; it seats 300 or holds 500 for receptions.
