Planners' Choice Awards Voting Is Now Open

Hundreds of submissions poured in and the finalists have been announced—now we need your help to determine the winners. Make sure your voice is heard and vote for your favorites in each of the nine Planners' Choice Awards categories.

Voting closes June 12 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Winners will be announced at BizBash Live: The Expo Los Angeles on Wednesday, June 24 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Also stay tuned to @BizBashLive as the winners are live-tweeted from the event.

This award will be presented to an event planner who works in-house for an association or nonprofit organization and consistently exceeds expectations and raises the bar of his or her organization’s goals through organizing, managing, and executing meetings and events.

2. Caterer of the Year

2. Caterer of the Year (One vote per category permitted)
This award will be presented to an individual who works as a caterer, catering director, or food and beverage director with full-time kitchens, and consistently exceeds the goals of corporate, association, and nonprofit clients by providing outstanding food and beverage while also offering innovative food design, resourceful food ingredient sourcing, and an exceptional level of service. Nominees may be working at an off-premise catering company or in-house with a venue.

3. Corporate Event Planner of the Year

3. Corporate Event Planner of the Year (One vote per category permitted)
This award will be presented to an individual working in-house at a corporate organization who consistently exceeds the goals of a company through organizing, managing, and executing meetings and events. In this instance, corporate organizations may not include companies available to hire for events.

4. Event Designer of the Year

This award will be presented to an individual event designer who effectively communicates the message, goal, and/or brand integration in developing corporate, association, social, and nonprofit events through innovative decor. Nominees should not include individuals in-house at a corporate or nonprofit organization.

5. Event or Entertainment Producer of the Year

5. Event or Entertainment Producer of the Year (One vote per category permitted)
This award will be presented to an individual event producer who has demonstrated an exceptional ability to create a vision and execute all aspects of technical and creative event production on corporate, association, and nonprofit events. Nominees should not include individuals in-house at a corporate or nonprofit organization.

6. Rising Star

6. Rising Star (One vote per category permitted)
This award will be presented to the most innovative event, meeting, or hospitality professional. The individual must have no more than five years as an industry professional, working on corporate, nonprofit, and/or private social events, meetings, or festivals on a regular basis. Nominations should highlight how the individual has contributed to the development of the industry, demonstrating effective and creative execution of ideas and the influential role he or she played.

7. Social Event Planner of the Year

7. Social Event Planner of the Year (One vote per category permitted)
This award will be presented to an industry leader who consistently exceeds the needs of social clients through organizing, managing, and executing events at an exceptional level. Social events include weddings, bar or bat mitzvahs, private dinner parties, and other personal occasions. Nominees should not include individuals in-house at a corporate or nonprofit organization.

8. Venue Manager of the Year

This award will be presented to an individual working in-house at a venue available for events or meetings as a venue manager who consistently exceeds the goals of corporate, association, and nonprofit clients by providing an outstanding level of service in representing the venue to the industry and assisting planners and vendors with onsite event execution.
