When you make your living cracking jokes on TV, the saying about acting your age doesn't really apply. To that end, Warner Brothers Television Group division Telepictures Productions put together a carnival- and casino-themed 50th birthday party for Ellen DeGeneres on the New York Street on the Warner Brothers back lot. More than 300 guests, including a host of big-name celebs, turned up for the party, where decor included two 10-foot elephant topiaries and a three-story-tall Ferris wheel with a middle medallion announcing “Ellen’s 50th.” A carousel, house of mirrors, bumper cars, dunk tank, whack-a-mole game, and fireworks blazing from atop the New York street facades rounded out the playful offerings.

A gaming area included poker and craps tables and animated 20-foot-tall neon signs. Stiltwalkers decked in vintage carnival attire roamed the crowd. Guests could get their own costumes by visiting the Rad Hatter, who made custom hats on the spot. Pink headlined the night's performances, and Samantha Ronson spun tunes on the dance floor. MORE >>
