Entertainment Industry Bigwigs Back SBE's Deco-Inspired Foxtail
Two-week old Foxtail in West Hollywood has already gotten much attention around town. And how could it not, with partners in the restaurant including such Hollywood hotshots as director Brett Ratner, NBC Entertainment co-chairman Ben Silverman, film producer Scott Stuber, and Endeavor’s Patrick Whitesell? They've partnered with SBE (which also owns and operates S Bar and the Katsuya mini-chain) on the space.

Foxtail's look, designed by Frank Medrano and Steve Brabson of Franklin Studios in collaboration with SBE's Theresa Fatino, is Art Deco meets Art Nouveau, with a color palette of emerald green, copper, pink, and silver. Chef Antonia Lofaso (a contestant on Bravo's Top Chef reality series, who worked for seven years at Spago) puts together a menu of European bistro fare, with starters like beef carpaccio and entrées including steak frites with fried egg and black truffle.

SBE mixologist Ryan Magarian mixes colorfully named drinks like the Poisoned Rose (Effen vodka, Lillet Rouge, rose essence, and cloudy apple cider) and the Corpse Reviver Number 2 Circa 1932 (gin, Cointreau, Lillet Blanc, lemon juice, and absinthe).

The venue seats 75 and has a total capacity of 250. A lounge with a dance floor and enclosed patio are expected to open in the coming days.
