Desert Food and Wine Fest Announces Autumn Dates, Details
Just after one desert food and wine fest (the Palm Springs Food and Wine festival) wrapped this weekend, another has announced dates and details: The third annual four-day Art of Food & Wine Palm Desert will run November 6 through 9.

New to the schedule this year will be the opening-night "food flight," an interactive competition featuring Coachella Valley chefs and bartenders; wine dinner benefits that pair local restaurants and charities with chefs and sommeliers; a nighttime event showcasing desserts, wines, champagnes, and after-dinner drinks poolside at the Desert Springs JW Marriott Resort & Spa; the dedication of 18 new sculptures to Palm Desert’s El Paseo shopping district; and a concert at Palm Desert music venue the McCallum Theatre.

The festival's signature two-day grand tasting will again feature vintners, restaurants, and chefs, including James Beard award-winner Rick Tramonto and two-time Beard winner David Rosengarten.

Presenting sponsors are the city of Palm Desert, the Desert Springs Marriott, and Southern Wine & Spirits of America.
