| Bandage-Covered Maxim Party Invite Goes for Shock Value |

Maxim made a strong, if shocking (and arguably gross), impact with the invitation for its party at Hollywood's new Stork lounge Thursday night. The front of each simple, glossy card featured a photographic image of a man's hairy leg, on which a real bandage concealed a cartoonish knee wound. The text read, "This won't hurt a bit." Removing the bandage revealed the words "Extreme Sports Party," and the back of the card revealed the specifics. The X Games ran through Sunday at Staples Center and Home Depot Center.
