Stand Up to Cancer Show Brings Entertainment Industry Biggies to Kodak
MTV's Video Music Awards aren't the only big music-centric event on the weekend calendar in Los Angeles. On Friday, ABC, CBS and NBC will donate one hour of simultaneous commercial-free primetime for the nationally televised Stand Up to Cancer fund-raising event to benefit cancer research and awareness, which will air live from the Kodak Theatre.

Celebrities confirmed to participate in the broadcast include Jennifer Aniston, Scarlett Johansson, Christina Applegate, Lance Armstrong, Jack Black, Kirsten Dunst, Halle Berry, Hilary Swank, Forrest Whitaker, and Jimmy Fallon. They will also answer telethon calls in a celebrity phone bank.

The broadcast will also feature the premiere of “Just Stand Up,” the charity single benefiting Stand Up to Cancer and produced by L.A. Reid and Babyface. The performance features female singers, including Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Sheryl Crow, Miley Cyrus, Melissa Etheridge, Ashanti, and LeAnn Rimes.
