| Aaron Levant is the president of Agenda LLC, where he directs bi-annual apparel trade shows in San Diego, Tokyo, and New York that attract about 5,000 attendees per show. From his base in Los Angeles, Levant also oversees events like product launches and promotions for Benji and Joel Madden’s clothing line, DCMA Collective, a line under the Agenda LLC umbrella.
Production: "ELS is really great because we can [get full service from] them instead of reaching out to a bunch of different vendors. We are able to go to them and do everything from working with the fire marshall all the way down to lighting, carpeting, and sound systems. If they don’t have it, they would probably get a better rate [for us] than going directly to different vendors."
"Vox Entertainment is good because they cover San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles—they are able to travel to events. We did an event with Vox in a cruise ship terminal in San Diego. There was nothing there; we had to bring everything in from scratch and we turned an [unexpected] venue into something that worked out really well."
Rentals: "Plush Lounge. When we’re doing events in San Diego, you get vendors who are used to doing weddings and have standard rental stuff. Plush in San Diego has premium furniture rentals and really plush lounge setups and carpets—things to elevate the look of our events."
Catering: "We like to do nontraditional catered stuff—more like street food. We use Taco Nazo for our outdoor events in L.A. It’s a taco stand that pulls up in a truck. People really enjoy that."
"Buttercake Bakery does our desserts for events. The cupcakes are always gone—everyone loves them. Whenever we put out a cupcake display, we do it with a discount card [for guests]. When I talk to Buttercake, they say that people always follow up and use the discount cards at the bakery."
