Historic Santa Monica Seafood Debuts New Space With 36-Seat Café, Oyster Bar
This month, Santa Monica Seafood—purveyor of fresh and eco-friendly seafood—relocated from its historic Colorado Street location with a new retail space and café at Wilshire Boulevard and 10th Street. The airy new space features a modern design and expanded seafood and menu offerings.

The café—which holds 36 and includes a patio area—features a menu by chef Scott Leibfried. Leibfried, joined by executive chef Eric Baran (of Spago, Violet, and the Saddle Peak Lodge), combines rustic Italian influences with seasonal California cuisine. The new space offers items such as potato and parmesan frittata with poached rock shrimp, mascarpone, chives, and American sturgeon caviar; oysters and clams on the half shell; and grilled shrimp panzanella salad.

The new store features house-made salads, sushi, artisan bread, prepared vegetables and meals (right for in-office lunches), specialty cheeses, selections of premium beer and wines, and seafood seasonings and rubs.

The new location will also feature in-store demos from local chefs who rely on Santa Monica Seafood for their menus.
