| 3 Hotel Steak Houses With Private Space |
|
To entertain a meat-and-potatoes group, try these steak houses in Los Angeles hotels—all of which offer private dining options.
1. Downtown’s Millennium Biltmore Hotel added a new restaurant in late May: La Bistecca, an Italian steak house in the hotel’s lobby, Rendezvous Court. Artist Anthony Heinsbergen designed the space, which has soaring ceilings in a Spanish-Baroque setting with Italian travertine stone walls, a three-story Moorish plaster ceiling decorated with hand-painted and carved wood beams, 24-karat gold accents, Italian bronze and crystal chandeliers, and a Tennessee rose marble fountain.
The menu at La Bistecca features six cuts of beef with a variety of accompaniments inspired by the cuisine of southern Italy and Sicily, as well as traditional sauces. The restaurant is available for full and partial buyouts, and has a capacity of 50. |

2. The Blvd restaurant at the Beverly Wilshire has a longstanding see-and-be-seen tradition. The eatery features lofty ceilings and large windows overlooking the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Rodeo Drive. The Blvd encompasses a restaurant and a lounge area, focused on an 18-foot illuminated onyx bar and a large back-lit wine display containing more than 1,000 bottles. The sidewalk patio serves as a space for people-watching as well as dining.
The menu features five types of corn-fed, Midwestern prime-cut steaks, as well as seafood and dishes with seasonal ingredients. The Blvd holds 83 indoors or 42 on the patio for seated events.
3. Inside the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, Dakota is decorated in a palette of warm chocolate browns with leather and suede banquettes. Designed by Dodd Mitchell, the space combines modern touches with towering ceilings that harken back to a bygone Hollywood era.
The menu at Dakota features nine cuts of beef, as well as seafood and a daily pasta special. For seated dinners, Dakota holds 90 within its main dining room. The restaurant also has semiprivate dining areas for 40 that overlook the hotel’s Tropicana Bar and David Hockney-painted pool.
