Hotel Erwin Opens in Venice With Indoor/Outdoor Restaurant and Rooftop Bar
Venice Beach's new Hotel Erwin, a Joie de Vivre property, offers a boutique hotel experience close to the sand, uncommon lodgings for the area known more for arty transience than upscale—if hipster-appropriate—beachfront accommodations. The 119-room property overlooks the Pacific Ocean and beach below.

Its restaurant, Hash, uses seasonal, local, fresh ingredients, with chef Micah Fields (who has worked at Patina Group and Gordon Ramsay) delivering his take on home-style cooking. Seasonal specialties include hashes, buckwheat pancakes, and benedicts. Hash has indoor and outdoor seating. The petite eatery holds 20 indoors and 34 outdoors. It is available for buyout.
