| Tony Crustacean to Host Crash Party |
|
Crash financier Bob Yari (who recently lost his appeal to the Academy for an award-eligible producer credit) will host a pre-Oscar party this Saturday at chichi Crustacean, with a menu created for the event by executive chef Helene An from the restaurant's newly launched catering service. European-Vietnamese dishes will include lemongrass sushi rolls, foie gras with apple chutney, roasted beet ravioli, bamboo salmon with sun dried tomatoes and an herbed crust, braised short ribs, and chocolate lava cake and pineapple tartlets for dessert.
Crustacean will be handling the lighting, staging, and floral arrangements. A stage is being built for live music, but little in the way of additional decor is needed to complement the restaurant's highly styled design—pattered after an estate in French Colonial Vietnam—which features an 80-foot-long serpentine aquarium, filled with exotic koi, that winds throughout the lounge area and into the main dining room. Crash cast members are expected to attend.
