| Cancer Charity, L.A. Mag Host Block Party |

The Concern Foundation for Cancer Research will hold its 32nd annual block party—this year’s theme is “the great outdoors adventure”—on July 15 at the Paramount Studios backlot. Los Angeles magazine, the media sponsor, will also celebrate its 2006 “Best of L.A.” issue at the event. Expect a live auction, four stages for live entertainment, and interactive activities like rock climbing walls, photo booths, and casino tables. For grub and grog, more than 50 of L.A.’s top chefs will be serving food, drinks compliments of El Charro Tequila and Stockholm Krystal Vodka, plus wines from some of California’s top wineries. Corporate sponsors include Wells Fargo and American Airlines. Joan Luther & Associates and Susie Dobson Global PR are handling publicity.
