Victoria's Secret Launch Is Very Sexy L.A. Day
Just as California’s oppressive, weeks-long heat wave was beginning to wind down, the Victoria’s Secret brand aimed to heat things up again with a series of events surrounding the launch of its makeup line called Very Sexy. The July 31 lineup began with an in-store event at the Grove, featuring free makeovers all day—and photo ops with and autographs from models Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosio, Karolina Kurkova, Izabel Goulart, and Selita Ebanks.

Later in the evening, the girls headed to the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel for an intimate dinner with the press, which ballooned into an after-party for 500 around the pool at the Tropicana Bar. (No red carpet meant paparazzi pouring out from the parking lot into the street trying to get their best shots, alongside fans clamoring for a glimpse of the models and celebs like Nicky Hilton and Jeremy Piven.) The party cut a dramatic profile from Hollywood Boulevard, since a hot pink mural bearing the name of the brand and its new line, along with kiss marks and the models’ signatures, covered the west wall of the Roosevelt. Full Picture handled PR.
