| Columbia Premiere Has Cozy Couches and Cupcakes |

| The plot of Columbia Pictures’ new movie Stranger Than Fiction—Will Ferrell's daily activities are narrated in his own head by the voice of a female author, Emma Thompson, working on a book—is quirky and poetic. And the party that followed the premiere screening at Westwood’s Mann Village theater incorporated plot details into the decor for a cozy, moody look that let guests linger in their Hollywood rapture for a little while longer. |

Alison Bossert, vice president of special events for Sony’s Columbia Pictures, worked with Chris Benarroch of Benarroch Productions and Keith Greco of Greco Decor to transform a Westwood raw space formerly occupied by a retail store into a whimsical environment with boldly patterned sofas and colorful lamps. Quotes from the movie decorated the walls.
Wolfgang Puck catered a Thanksgiving-like feast, complete with mashed potatoes, green beans, autumn vegetables, and pumpkin ravioli. Overflowing dessert buffet tables offered cupcakes from Sprinkles, an homage to Maggie Gyllenhaal’s character in the movie, who runs her own bakery. A tucked-away back room of the party space looked just like a quaint bakery, complete with desserts nestled in a glass case and mismatched plates tacked to the wall.
