| Holiday Lights Cover Chinese for Fox Premiere |
|
Twentieth Century Fox’s holiday picture Deck the Halls premiered on November 12 at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre with an event suited to the creeping-ever-earlier-into-November holiday spirit. Sun Valley-based Entertainment Lighting Services (ELS) set up 12 16,000-watt searchlights, four clusters of SkyTracker moving beam searchlights, 23 2,000-watt automated lights, and 11,000 linear feet of holiday lamps—for a total of 250,000 lights—covering the theater and its courtyard. ELS rolled out a white carpet, too, creating a wintry New England setting on a balmy California night. Artificial snow, fog, and haze effects completed the look.
