THE WALKTHROUGH   01.09.07 9:00 PM PRINT | SEND TO A FRIEND |
A Luxe Boulevard
Peter Famulari made the Mondrian’s Skybar what it is today, and Boulevard3, next to Social Hollywood, is his high-style follow-up. The English-manor-meets-Hollywood decor has attracted many a star since its October opening, including Justin Timberlake, who held a launch party here for his William Rast fashion line. Four distinct areas make up the 17,000-square-foot space: the ballroom, which holds 600; the mezzanine, which holds 200; the library lounge, which holds 160; and the outdoor garden, which holds 200. There’s lots of greenery inside and out, cabanas around reflecting pools, and plush furniture. Luxury suites are like skyboxes at a basketball game—every amenity you could want (Xbox, plasma TV, couches, a personal bar) with views of the action below. The bar in the ballroom was built to transform into a stage and still remain open for drinks, and the adjacent parking lot can be tented for larger events.
