Environmentally Friendly Hotel Palomar Set for Westwood Debut
The Hotel Palomar Los Angeles in Westwood (formerly a Doubletree Hotel) is the latest offering from Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. It is scheduled to open in April with 264 guest rooms and city views from its 19 floors.

The hotel claims to be fully eco-friendly and will have water- and energy-efficient fixtures in addition to offering recycling bins in guest rooms and organic and sustainable food in minibars and an adjacent restaurant. Its modern decor was designed in collaboration with Beverly Hills interior designer Cheryl Rowley, who has worked on five Palomar hotels for Kimpton, including properties in San Francisco and Washington, D.C.

The Hotel Palomar has a business center and six meeting rooms with nearly 5,000 square feet of meeting space. The property features four hospitality suites, a ballroom, and boardroom facilities.

Another bonus for a certain guest sector: The Palomar is a pet-friendly venue.   —Sharon Knolle
