OVERVIEW
Proprietors Betty Fraser (a Top Chef season-two contestant) and Denise DeCarlo have been in business since 1995. In addition to running their busy café, Grub, and the newly opened Fountain Court Restaurant, they cater about 250 events a year, from intimate sit-down dinners to corporate events for 750. Menus vary from traditional tapas to homey comfort foods: Dishes include spice-rubbed flank-steak quesadillas with pineapple-papaya salsa, and Chilean sea bass in banana leaves with cinnamon-coconut curry and basmati rice.
