OVERVIEW
The iconic observatory closed its doors in 2002 for a comprehensive renovation and expansion project, which was completed in late 2006. The observatory is now open to the public; corporate events with a theme compatible with the observatory’s mission are welcome. In addition to upgrades to the structure itself, a 44,000-square-foot lower level was built for new exhibits and a Wolfgang Puck-run café, and a number of rooftop spaces have become viewing platforms.
