MIAMI/SOUTH FLORIDA Chef Mario Batali teamed up with Emeril Lagasse, Jimmy Fallon, and Jimmy Buffet on Saturday to host a brunch fund-raiser for children in need at the Viceroy in Brickell. Staffers and volunteers from the event's two benefiting charities, the Moyer Foundation and Mario Batali Foundation, worked together to coordinate the 125-person Super Bowl weekend event at the hotel’s 50th floor lounge Club 50.
The afternoon included two 10-minute cooking demonstrations by Batali and Lagasse, followed by brunch on the lounge’s adjacent pool deck and a live musical performance by former New York Yankee Bernie Williams. The event raised $200,000 for the two organizations.
