Betsy Ross Hotel Set to Reopen With New Eatery, Name, and Event Space
Less than two years after closing for renovations, South Beach's Betsy Ross Hotel will reopen April 1 with a new name, the Betsy Hotel. The only remaining hotel in South Beach with Florida-Georgian architecture and a colonial façade, the boutique property has two new spaces for events,  BLT Steak and a rooftop solarium.

Interior designers Diamante Pedersoli and Carmelina Santoro took inspiration from their work with Ralph Lauren and Bulgari to revamp the hotel's 63 guest rooms and common areas. Decor highlights include plantation-style shuttered windows, wood floors, and natural light from the lobby's floor-to-ceiling windows.

Chef Laurent Tourondel opened BLT Steak on the property in late February. A mix of traditional French bistro and classic American steak house, the dining room is outfitted with a restored pink terrazzo floor, cream suede chairs and banquettes, and dark wood tables. The restaurant can seat 96 guests inside and an additional 84 on the patio. Adjacent to the dining room, the B-Bar can seat 25 in its lounge area and 11 at the bar.

Three stories above Ocean Drive, the hotel's 3,500-square-foot rooftop solarium can accommodate as many as 150 for receptions. Sail-like canopies provide shade to a portion of the wood deck, and white banquettes line the perimeter.

Additional amenities include an intimate 500-square-foot pool deck, three-cabana spa, and fitness center.
