| Marriott Creates Airport Campus With Property Renovations, New Hotel |
|
Situated one mile south of the Miami International Airport’s arrival gates, the Miami Airport Campus will celebrate its grand opening on October 5. The new venture is comprised of three properties, the newly renovated Miami Airport Marriott and Courtyard Miami Airport South, and the newly constructed Residence Inn Airport South.
The largest of the three hotels, the 366-room Miami Airport Marriott underwent a $15 million renovation that turned the property into South Florida’s first Marriott to adopt the brand’s new M.I. Greatroom lounge area. The redesigned space is located off the lobby and consists of a small bar and expanded seating area. Additionally, the hotel has a new 130-seat restaurant, Cane Fire Grille and Lounge, and 12,000 square feet of meeting space. |

The Courtyard property, to the southwest of the Miami Marriott, has added 78 rooms (bringing the total to 300), redesigned its lobby, and added the 125-seat Champions Sports Bar and Grill, which is also available for events. There are six flexible meeting rooms for groups of 48 to 93 people.
The Residence Inn Airport South completes the lineup of hotel properties and was finished in late June. The 163-room extended-stay hotel has a small meeting room off its lobby for about 15.
The campus offers a combined 15,000 square feet of event space between the three properties, which also share an outdoor pool and a 2,800-square-foot fitness facility—both of which are available for functions.
