On Thursday, the Miami Art Museum hosts its regular Jam at MAM networking event with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres by Jay Caplan Catering and music by DJ Paul Gaeta
The 12th annual Hollywood Beach Latin Festival takes place Sunday on the Hollywood broadwalk. Beachfront merchants will display their products alongside arts and crafts booths and food vendors from Puerto Rico, Colombia, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic.

The International Ballet Festival of Miami begins today and runs through September 18. Ballet companies from Latin America, Europe, and the U.S. will perform in theaters around Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach. Saturday, Aug. 27: Besides hosting the VMAs, Sean "P.Diddy" Combs is also throwing an exclusive bash at Nikki Beach. Fellow rapper Jay-Z is rumored to be co-hosting
Not to be outdone, Missy Elliot is hosting the Bacardi Party at the Lyric Theater. Fat Joe and Jermaine Dupree are scheduled to join her at the theater. Sunday, Aug. 28: American Airlines Arena gets transformed once again for the VMAs. Thursday, September 1: The third BiZBashFla Creative Environment FunShop takes place at the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Resort.
