Specific Media, which recently acquired MySpace, threw an elaborate holiday bash for employees that recalled the boom time during that brand's original heyday. On Friday, the company took about 450 guests to the Hyatt Huntington Beach's grand ballroom for a party that had a Parisian theme, all done in a black-and-red palette. A stage in the round in the center of the ballroom drew three different performances, each 20 minutes long, from a Zen Arts troupe of 15. The group all wore custom costumes designed around the event's theme and colors, and performed cirque- and burlesque-style numbers.
