Overview

In a former customs house, the museum’s rotunda is a large elliptical space that has a central skylight and murals painted by Reginald Marsh. The room seats 240 within its inner ellipse or 350 in its entirety; together, the rotunda and the great hall hold 1,200. The Collector’s Office seats 80 or holds 200 for receptions. There are also four meeting rooms and a 325-seat auditorium. The Diker Pavilion for Native Arts and Cultures seats 300 or holds 450 for receptions.
